The unspoilt beauty of the Lappish Fells offers an idyllic vista all year round, perfect for celebrating your special day.
Canterbury Travel offers two very distinctive and different tours: Magical Sojourn and Winter Wonderland. Magical Sojourn is part of a fully inclusive activity tour while Winter Wonderland is a tailor-made tour that provides you with the opportunity to create your own activity package, with flights, accommodations & transfers included in the basic price. Your wedding day will be organised around the tour, allowing you to exchange vows with your loved one whilst at the same time enjoying the activities that Lapland has to offer.
Magical Sojourn Wedding
The Magical Sojourn is a 5 day fully inclusive holiday package with a designated activity program with entertainment and fun activities such as husky, reindeer and snowmobile safaris. Otherwise a day of rest and relaxation, Day 3 is your wedding day and this provides the perfect opportunity to marry in snowy and mystical Lapland without missing out on any of the holiday activities.
The tour operates during November – December and is especially popular with families and groups with children who wish to combine their wedding with a captivating holiday In Search of Santa. The tour includes everything from flights, accommodation, transfers and meals to the hire of snow suits and boots for the entire trip.
The wedding day can be as simple or as extravagant as you wish, with the ceremony taking place in a simple wooden chapel located at the bottom of Luosto fells or, weather permitting, in an ice chapel in the centre of the resort of Luosto. Each venue has its own charm and provides an atmospheric as well as unique setting. A traditional Lappish wedding reception can be held in Luoston Hovi restaurant with a 3-course dinner and champagne reception.
The majority of our staff have been to Lapland and therefore can impart their knowledge and experience to make your wedding day truly unique. In addition you will receive a step by step guide with advice on all the paperwork required and the practicalities of getting married in Lapland.
